DEPIQUE has always maintained that golf is much more than a sport. It's a passion that accompanies you both on and off the course. September, and more specifically, the return to school, offered us the perfect opportunity to put that idea into action.
The challenge was clear from the first phase: to translate a universal insight from childhood (when you become obsessed with a sport) into a campaign capable of turning back to school into back to the game, reinforcing DEPIQUE as a benchmark for golf lifestyle.
We didn't want just another seasonal promotion. The objectives were specific:
Generate physical and digital traffic.
Boost sales of the new collection.
To build an aspirational message that would resonate with the community.
The opportunity arose with a trigger: a viral video of a boy practicing golf in the middle of a basketball game. We investigated who he was, understood the story behind it, and turned it into the creative starting point.
Thus was born “The worst thing about playing golf is that you won’t be able to get it out of your head”: an idea that gives a name to that positive obsession and that we were able to deploy at the point of sale, web, email marketing and social networks.
The impact confirmed the success of the approach. Over 200,000 organic views of the ad on DEPIQUE's Instagram. Proof that when you truly love something, excuses are unnecessary.
